Student success starts with promoting and protecting the well-being of our students. Our 17³Ô¹Ï Health Services provides high-quality health and wellness services to each of our students.  

Our Health Services Options

 

1. Telemedicine Services

Access care quickly and conveniently, wherever you are!

  • Basic assessments, evaluations, treatments, and prescriptions for minor or episodic illnesses and injuries.
  • Speak with an Instant Urgent Care healthcare professional virtually using our secure telemedicine service.

2. In-Person Care

Need face-to-face care? Visit one of the Instant Urgent Care locations nearby for in-person support.

  • Address more immediate health concerns with professional care.
  • Multiple local facilities are available to serve you.
  • How to Access: Call to schedule an appointment and let them know you are a 17³Ô¹Ï Student.

3. On-Campus Essentials: The Owl’s Nest 

  • Pick up over-the-counter medications, bandages, and condoms conveniently and at no cost.
  • Location: The Owl's Nest (room, 2152)

About Our Health Center Services

Access to Services

Types of Services Available

  • Basic assessment, evaluation, treatment, and prescriptions for minor/episodic illnesses and injuries.
  • *Physical Exams (Allied Health, International and Transfer students) which includes hearing and vision exams (NO DMV physicals)
  • Sports Athletic Physicals
  • Low cost diagnostic lab test and screenings performed at the health center for your convenience.
  • Reproductive Care visits
  • *Morning-After Pill
  • *Immunizations â€” See types and costs
  • *Smoking Cessation support
  • *Screenings (blood pressure, HIV, STD’s, etc.)
  • *Lab Tests (limited) including TB testing

When available, most services are included in your student health fee, while some are available at low costs. 

*Services with asterisk may incur an additional cost. 

Your Health Records

If you need to order your health records, follow steps for accessing through the Instant Urgent Care Portal.
  1. Create or Sign in to the Instant Urgent Care portal
  2. From there, you can securely
    • Check your health record
    • Request copies of medical record. Note: Records are only available from Sept. 25 2017 through Aug. 31, 2022.
    • Contact IUC staff for questions or problems. *Records are only available from 25 Sept 2017 through 31 Aug 2022.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Notice of Privacy Act is strictly enforced. Confidentiality is always our priority. Medical information is confidential and will not be released without patient's written consent, except as required by law. Access your student health records

COVID-19 Updates

Vaccination Policy Effective July 1, 2023, COVID-19 vaccinations are no longer required within the 17³Ô¹Ï-De Anza Community College District.
  • Masking is no longer highly encouraged.
  • However, we do encourage you to be vaccinated and keep up with the recommended COVID boosters. 
  • We ask that you stay home if you do not feel well.

Lactation Room Available

Our Mental Health and Wellness Center (room 2120) provides a private lactation room where students who are nursing can pump or nurse their baby.

  • Massage Chairs: Unwind in our state-of-the-art massage chairs, perfect for soothing stress and tension.
  • Wellness Resources: Access a range of wellness literature, relaxation techniques, and mental health information including a VR relaxation tool.
  • Quiet Spaces: Enjoy quiet, calming areas for yoga or stretching, meditation, reflection, or simply a break from your busy schedule.
  • Supportive Environment: Our friendly staff is here to answer questions and guide you to the right resources, whether it's mental health services or stress management strategies.

No, services are available to all enrolled students who pay the health fee.

Q. Do I need health Insurance?

You do not need health insurance to use the Health services, but we highly recommend you get insurance.  Learn about available health insurance options.

Q. What do I do if I don't have health insurance?
