Associate Degree for Transfer Pathway (AB 928)

Our Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) Pathway is designed to support you in completing both your major preparation and general education requirements at a California community college. By following this pathway, you can secure a guaranteed spot at participating four-year universities.

Join Us for an ADT Pathway Workshop

Learn about a statewide effort to place all California Community College students interested in transfer on an Associate's Degree for Transfer pathway.

  • Explore how to choose the best transfer pathway for you
  • All workshop attendees will have the opportunity to schedule an appointment with a counselor to plan their unique transfer path
  • This workshop will be available both online and in person, with morning and afternoon options

  • Wednesday,  Oct. 30, 11 a.m.-Noon, In Person, Room 6405
  • Monday, Nov. 4, 10-11 a.m.

Guaranteed Pathway for College Transfer

With your Associate Degree (ADT) for Transfer, you have options.

Your ADT guarantees admission into the California State University (CSU) system; however, please note that admission to a specific campus or major is not guaranteed.

You may also consider other colleges within the partnered networks, which include:

  • Historically Black colleges and universities
  • Fully online colleges
  • Out-of-state and independent universities
  • Non-profit universities in California

Getting Started on Your ADT Pathway 

    • Develop a personalized education plan with a counselor to meet your transfer goals
    • Get plugged into the vast wrap around services to support you during your time at 17³Ô¹Ï such as – tutoring, counseling, basic needs, etc.
    • Receive support completing your transfer with the Counseling Department and Transfer Center

Stay on the Pathway

  1. Access LRC Tutoring Services — Learn about our STEM Center, Writing and Language Center, and Pass the Torch programs and use them for success in all your courses.
  2. Join a Learning Community – Umoja, Puente, Humanities Mellon Scholars, Honors  
  3. Meet with a Counseslor â€” at least one a quarter!

Dates & Deadlines

  • Fall 2024 Degree for Transfer — to graduate with an ADT in fall quarter, meet with a counselor by Oct. 1, 2024.
  • Spring 2025 Degree for Transfer — to graduate with an ADT in spring quarter, meet with a counselor by Feb, 28, 2025.
