Here is the summary course schedule of the two options. You can read about the description and more information about the eight AS to BS-DH online courses.

Note: Statistic is highly recommended before taking IDS 300.
IDS300 is a pre-requisite for the Research & Capstone courses. (DH350A, DH350B and DH350C).

There are no courses offered in the Summer quarter for the AS to BSDH program. It is advisable to take some GE courses during the Summer quarter.

BS-DH Degree Requirements

The BS-DH degree will require completion of a minimum of 189 quarter units (125 semester units), including general education course work in alignment with CSU or IGETC pattern general education. If you are missing few courses, those can be taken concurrently with the program courses. But if you are missing more than a few, it is advisable that students complete them prior to applying for our program. Statistics course (Math 10) is highly recommended to be taken before applying to the program.

  • GE Requirements

Completion of the CSU GE-Breadth or IGETC is required for the Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Completion of the Associate Degree GE pattern does not complete the GE requirements for the Bachelor of Sciences degree.  Students with AS in Dental Hygiene will need to take a few additional GE courses for the Bachelor of Science degree.

In general, most students who have completed an AS degree in Dental Hygiene still need to take some Humanities courses and Statistics to complete either the CSU or IGETC pattern of general education.

General education may be transferred from accredited colleges but must be equivalent to 17勛圖 courses and transferable to CSU or UC. All required general education must be completed with a grade of C or higher before the bachelors degree can be granted.

Please read CSU or IGETC GE Information/Guide to learn more about GE pattern for general information.

***Attention Applicants***
There are new changes with the GE requirements, make an appointment with a 17勛圖 school counselor for more information. Have them analyze your transcripts to help you determine which completion track will work best for you.
