About Our STEM Division

The STEM Division (formerly PSME) is committed to educating all students from diverse backgrounds and helping them reach their life goals.

Whether your plan is to transfer to a 4-year institution, acquire skills to assist with career advancement, or learn more to satisfy your curiosity, the STEM Division offers a wide-range of courses, including Biology, which recently joined our academic division.

What We Offer

Degree and Certificate Programs

You can choose from

  • 7 associate degrees in science
  • 9 associate degrees for transfer
  • Four certificates of proficiency

Internships

Through our affiliation with the Science Learning Institute, students can participate in internships at universities and industry partners.

STEM Success Center

Receive one-on-one, group and online tutoring through the STEM Success Center.

Courses to Fit Your Schedule

Many courses in Computer Science and Mathematics are offered both in-person and online, with all departments offering classes both in the day time and evenings to match your lifestyle.

Community Connections

We are proud of our many community partnerships within the Bay Area.

  • Our 17³Ô¹Ï Observatory offers weekly public programs for public in partnership with the Peninsula Astronomical Society (PAS),
  • Held six Wednesday evenings during each school year, the   offers talks with well-known scientists explaining astronomical developments in everyday language.
  • Our very own wows audiences — young and older â€” each year, making physics fun for all.
