FHDA Foundation Kicks Off $3 Million Hope Initiative
January 27, 2022
Think about it. If you had difficulty covering your own or your family’s basic needs, would you be able to stay in college or even think about your education? Whether it’s having enough food, making a rent payment, struggling with an unforeseen expense, or accessing mental health services, this is a constant struggle for many of our students. However, with a bit of extra support, we know our students can focus on their education and reach their goals.
Our 17³Ô¹Ï-De Anza Foundation team knows this, too, setting a bold goal to remove this struggle – through its new Hope Initiative to raise $3 million over the next three years. Donations will provide that extra support our 17³Ô¹Ï and De Anza students need to meet their basic needs and educational dreams. At 17³Ô¹Ï, our Food Pantry, Homeless Student, and Psychological Services programs are providing relief every day. But we could do so much more.
Thanks to several incredible donors, the Hope Initiative campaign has already received more than $250,000 in donations and commitments toward the first $1 million. To meet the ambitious $3 million target, the foundation welcomes any and all support from our donors, our community, our corporate partners, our friends, and our alumni – to meet the goals of this campaign and continue supporting educational excellence at both 17³Ô¹Ï and De Anza colleges.
