I was born, raised, and did my undergraduate work in Wisconsin. I moved to San Francisco
in 2005, received my M.A. in Social Psychology from SFSU, and presently live in the
city with my husband. Despite my Wisconsin roots, I’m a big Golden State Warriors
fan!
I approach psychology as an applied science: what excites me the most is discovering
knowledge about human behavior that can be used to inspire personal empowerment and
can be applied toward achieving greater social justice.
I teach General Psychology, Biopsychology, the Psychology of Prejudice and Discrimination,
Research Methods, and Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences. I love teaching at 17³Ô¹Ï
College. The classroom, whether it be face-to-face or online, offers the space for
both intellectual and personal growth, and it is a privilege and an honor to contribute
to the Bay Area community through being an educator.
