My name is Allison Clark and I teach Developmental Psychology and General Psychology
at 17³Ô¹Ï. I have been at 17³Ô¹Ï for about 11 years and love it! A little about
myself, I live in Walnut Creek with my husband and two children. I have been married
for 20+ years. We also have three furry family members…a 10-year-old American Staffordshire
Terrier, an 8-year-old Labrador and one spoiled cat.
I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at California State University, Fresno
(Go Bulldogs!) My Bachelor’s degree is in Psychology and my Master’s degree is in
Counseling-Marriage, Family & Child Option. I have worked in numerous settings, including
adolescent treatment centers (group homes), drug treatment centers, as a social worker
for Child Protective Services and as a therapist with gang involved teenage boys.
I enjoy working with adolescents and children. I love teaching at 17³Ô¹Ï as it brings
together supporting students with their personal lives and educating them on how they
can make changes in their lives or the lives of someone they know.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, cooking and volunteering within
the community. However, one of my greatest accomplishments is being cancer free after
being diagnosed and treated ten years ago with Stage 2 breast cancer.
