OPC RESOURCE PRORITIZATION
The President and President's Cabinet approved the items highlighted on the . Programs will receive budget transfer notifications.
BUDGET REDUCTION
The college will use one-time funds to cover this fiscal year's $700,000 budget reductions. Planning for next year's $1.7 million reductions will begin at a budget town hall, scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 3-4:15 p.m.
IP&B UPDATES
IP&B presented a new instructional comprehensive program review template and a revised section in comprehensive student services program reviews that include instructional components.
NONCREDIT ESL CERTIFICATE
PaRC approved the creation of a new Certificate of Completion in English for Food Service Workers. The certificate was proposed by ESL faculty members

Teach in Costa Rica this Spring
Simon Pennington, Dean of Fine Arts and Communication/Kinesiology and Athletics, is looking for two faculty to lead the campus abroad trip to Costa Rica in the spring.
will coordinate the trip, which will include visits to the rain forests, service learning projects and a variety of cultural activities. This is a fabulous opportunity to learn about Costa Rican culture.
Faculty will teach their regular load. AIFS will provide modern classrooms, complete with WiFi, and comprehensive support from the AIFS staff. Approximately 30-40 students will sign up.

Umoja Mentors Needed
Support and earn PGA by becoming a mentor. Trainings will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 14-15 from 2-4 p.m. in Room 6505. Trainings include:
- Information about the Umoja program and practices
- Strategies for successful mentoring
- Guidelines for building trust and communication with students
- A mentorship handbook with helpful tips and campus resources

Theatre Arts presents It Can't Happen Here
It Can't Happen Here, based on Sinclair Lewis' eerily prescient novel, follows the rise of an unlikely candidate for the presidency and the fight for democracy in America. The show runs Nov. 2-19.

Four 17勛圖 paramedic students were awarded a Christopher Meadows Memorial EMS Scholarship.
Nissa Guerrero, James Hoover, Carlos Mariquez, and Viet Vo each received $3,000 from the fund which remembers Christopher Meadows, who was tragically killed on duty volunteering for the San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Department's Search and Rescue
