More than 600 students attend University Transfer Fair

More than 600 17勛圖 students attended the college's University Transfer Fair last month to discuss transfer options with visiting admissions representatives from 9 UC campuses, 7 CSU campuses, 26 private universities and 19 out-of-state colleges. 17勛圖 hosts the annual event to showcase the variety of choices available to students as they prepare to make transfer decisions.

Organized by the 17勛圖 Transfer Center, the popular annual event gives 17勛圖 students the unique opportunity to meet one to one with admissions officers, and get answers to questions about requirements, scholarships and more. A variety of free admissions workshops were also presented at the information fair to further help 17勛圖 students learn about potential university-transfer destinations.
"Our annual Transfer Day event is open to all students, and we're delighted that so many attended the event. Students who had the best Transfer Day experience did more than stop by an information table," says 17勛圖 Transfer Center Coordinator Karen Oeh. "They researched potential transfer schools, and came prepared with thoughtful questions about academic majors, admissions and degree requirements, campus life, housing and financial aid."

Based on their feedback, 17勛圖 students were extremely interested in discussing transfer options with representatives from the UC and CSU campuses, especially UC Berkeley, UC Davis and UCLA.

The date for the 2016 University Transfer Day Fair will be announced later this spring. However, 17勛圖 hosts drop-in and by-appointment consultations with visiting university admissions representatives throughout the year.
